The 22-73952-000BP replaces OEM part 22-73952-000, the cab extender attachment arm on the Freightliner Cascadia, used on both the upper and lower cab extender fairings.
Full description
The OEM arm does not seat tightly at the mating face. Road vibration works the M6 nutsert in the fiberglass sleeper wall until the bolt hole wears oblong, a documented failure on the Cascadia. The 22-73952-000BP is built in carbon fiber reinforced plastic to a tight fit at the mating face, which keeps the cab extender in place longer and the gap to the trailer closed, helping hold fuel economy. Nutserts that have already pulled require wall repair before installation.
